Refunds and Cancellations Policy

Last updated: 10 September 2025

This Refunds and Cancellations Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and consumer rights are handled when you purchase goods, services, or digital content from Miss K Local.

1. Australian Consumer Law

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

For major failures with a service, you may be entitled to cancel your service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

If a failure with a service is not a major failure, you are entitled to have the problem rectified within a reasonable time. If this is not done, you may be entitled to cancel the service and receive a refund for any unused portion.

Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the ACL.

2. Change of Mind

We do not provide refunds for change of mind unless expressly stated otherwise.

Subscription services may be cancelled in accordance with Section 3 below.

3. Services

One-off services (such as Google Business Profile setup or refresh):

  • You may cancel before work has begun for a full refund.
  • If work has commenced, a partial refund may be offered at our discretion to cover work not yet completed.
  • Once the service has been substantially delivered, no refund is available unless required by law.

Subscriptions

  • Subscription fees are charged in advance for the applicable billing period.
  • You may cancel a subscription at any time using the cancellation method provided with your subscription or by contacting us.
  • Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period. You may continue to use the Service until that time, subject to the applicable subscription limits and these Terms.
  • Once cancellation takes effect, no further subscription fees will be charged.
  • Payments already processed for the current billing period are not ordinarily refundable because you cancel part-way through that billing period, no longer wish to use the Service, or have not used all available inclusions.
  • Unused customer requests, SMS allowances, credits or other subscription inclusions do not have a cash value and are not refundable or transferable unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • Nothing in this section limits any refund, cancellation or other remedy you may be entitled to under the Australian Consumer Law.

Renewal payments

If your subscription renews and you intended to cancel before the renewal date, you may request a refund of the renewal payment within 5 calendar days of the renewal date, provided that you have not materially used the Service during the renewed billing period and no SMS messages or other paid usage have been incurred through your account during that period.

Where a renewal refund is approved, your subscription will be cancelled with immediate effect, your access to the subscription Service will end, and the eligible renewal payment will be refunded.

This renewal refund provision is a voluntary change-of-mind policy and is separate from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. The 5-day period and usage conditions do not limit any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

4. Digital Content

  • Digital products such as downloads, templates, guides and other immediately accessible digital content are not ordinarily refundable for change of mind once access has been provided.
  • If digital content is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law continue to apply.
  • If you experience difficulty accessing a digital product, please contact us so we can assist.

5. Problems with Products or Services

If a product or service is faulty, materially different from its description or otherwise fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee under the Australian Consumer Law, we will provide the remedy required by law. The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature and seriousness of the problem.

Please contact us as soon as reasonably practicable and provide enough information for us to investigate the issue.

6. How to Request a Refund or Cancellation

  • Where available, subscription cancellations may be completed using the cancellation method provided through the platform used to manage your subscription.
  • You may also contact us at: ad***@********al.com
  • For refund requests, please provide your order details and a brief description of the issue so that we can investigate.
  • We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and aim to resolve refund requests promptly and fairly.
  • Cancelling a subscription and requesting a refund are separate actions. Cancelling prevents future subscription renewals after the cancellation takes effect but does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund for payments already processed.

7. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Refunds and Cancellations Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with the “Last updated” date at the top.
